In Los Angeles there is a lack of help for the homeless, especially in downtown LA. From downtown sidewalks to freeway underpasses, it’s a reality many walk past daily, but too often, it's a reality we forget to see.

At 919 Vrede, we believe in community. In showing up for others, especially when the world feels like its falling apart. In 2020, during Covid-19 we wanted to offer a hand to those who already face the impossible odds, even on a regular day.

This is why we created 919 Care Kits.

Each kit included hygiene essentials, clean water, and snacks. It’s not everything, but it’s something. A gesture to say we see you. A reminder that care isn’t a luxury, it’s a right.

This was our way of standing in solidarity and holding onto the belief that community is not always built of grand gestures but small, intentional acts of care.

Care is regeneration. And we’re proud to be part of that.
